A Christian Play, the Price written by Leon Newton demonstrates the final destiny of human beings. The play advocates the existence of God
and establishes the fact through the conversation between the leading character, a millionaire, and Satan. Overall, it’s a good religious play that
contributes a great share in order to lead the youth towards a spiritual and pure way of living. Author has tried to spark flair of light in today’s
horrible scenario where people only value money and materialistic things. While reading this play you will feel that you are being close to God and
experience His bestows upon you.

Basically, The Price is the story of a millionaire who is quite arrogant and selfish by nature. He believes that he can do everything with the money he
has and there is no interference of God in the life of human beings. In other words, he denies the greatness of Jesus and rejects to stay under His
salvation. The millionaire thinks that only he is the responsible for the materialistic things and joy he posses but one he has found himself in hell.


From this point the real story starts which establishes the final truth and existence of God. In fact what the pastors preach, is the only way to find
the ultimate calmness in life. During the dialogue between the millionaire and Satan, you will come to know about the real facts that are truthful
and worthy for humans. When the millionaire insists that he is in hell because of the mistake made by God, the Satan reportedly speaks that Jesus
is above all such humble human belongings. Satan tries to convince the millionaire by his facts but still the millionaire remains unconvinced. It
shows the arrogant nature of the millionaire.

The sole purpose of author through The Price is to firm the belief in Jesus. Author encourages the youth to go behind the church and pastors by his
strong as well interesting writing skills. It’s the time for every Christian to stand up and again review his/her relation with Jesus and strengthen his/
her belief in God as well as His kindness, mercy, glory and salvation. All these messages are wrapped up in 60 pages of this play in a very interesting

and appealing manner.

Leon Newton, the author of this play, is well known article and script writer and belongs to Dramatist Guild of America (DGA). By profession he is
a professor, who firmly believes in Christianity and its preaching. Even more, he has won the National Best Book Award in year 2009 for one his
drama play.

Wrapping up, this play is quite appealing and entertaining at the same time. Most of the religious plays tend more towards preaching thus lost the
entertainment factor but this play is a good blender of entertainment and teachings of Christianity. It’s worth to have such a good play in your shelf
which always shows you the path towards the glory and true salvation. The best in its category!
